Thursday night’s 2013 Group 1 Hobart Thousand final is a promoter’s dream, with track record breaking sensation Black Magic Opal drawn in box 8 alongside Paw Licking (7) and Ronan Izmir (6).

The classy trio are among five Victorian-trained greyhounds chasing the $75,000 first prize along with the Robert Britton-trained pair Farmor Las Vegas (3) and Clone Your Own (4).

The box draw was conducted at a gala dinner on Saturday night. First prize in Thursday’s final is $75,000.
